Onsite Diligence & Growth Strategy Program

Our Onsite Diligence & Growth Strategy (DGS) Analyst program offers ambitious college graduates a front row seat to the world of tech investing and scaling. You'll analyze fast-growing software companies, collaborate with business leaders, and help shape the strategy of the next generation of scale-ups.

Qualifications: Undergraduates or 5th year master’s students, graduating between December 2026 - June 2027.

Join talent acquisition, HR advisory, and DE& leaders from across the Insight portfolio for our end-of-year Open Forum.

In this session, attendees will be invited to share strategies and tactics that worked well this past year, issues that are still keeping them up at night, as well as top priorities for the year ahead.

We encourage you to submit potential topics and questions you would like to discuss with your portfolio company peers upon registration. Attendees will then be able to upvote in real time on the topics they would like to discuss during the session.

  • You will return to work with IRL application on key topics, new peer relationships, and strategic guidance for your company

What You'll Do

Gain hands-on experience across investing and operations through diligence and portfolio work.

  • Partner with investment teams to assess high-growth software companies through commercial diligence projects.
  • Conduct deep market research, financial modeling, and customer interviews to support investment decisions.
  • Collaborate directly with leaders at portfolio companies.
  • Work alongside Insight's Onsite Centers of Excellence to tackle strategic challenges across marketing, sales, product, and more. 
  • Contribute to meaningful projects that drive portfolio company growth and prepare them for successful exits.

Meet the Team

Alex Hanks

Analyst

Hometown: Provo, Utah
Joined Insight: 2023

Alex started on the Investment Team and transitioned to the DGS team during his second year at Insight Partners. After spending a year sourcing companies as an Investor, Alex was interested in spending more time on diligence work and supporting current portfolio companies and their exits. As a DGS team member, he has had opportunities to dive into new workstreams & growth opportunities such as building his first TAM (Total Addressable Market), leading expert calls, owning the financial modeling for a deal, and expanding his data analysis skills.

As someone who recently explored both of Insight's post-grad opportunities, his advice to students? "Take a step back and try to understand where you want your focus to be; DGS is a great opportunity to work on the operational side of deals and learn how we think about exiting a business."

Sydney Bowen

Senior Associate

Hometown: Washington, D.C.
Joined Insight: 2021

Sydney's interest in technology, start-ups, and investing led her to the DGS team at Insight Partners after college. As an analyst, she developed foundational skills in assessing companies from both analytical and critical thinking perspectives. She has continued to build on those skills as her career has progressed—most recently supporting a complex acquisition where she leveraged her diligence toolkit working directly with the CEO of an Insight portfolio company.

This example highlights what has kept Sydney at Insight over the years: "There is a culture of true learning and intellectual discussion. If you raise your hand to get involved with a new opportunity, people will listen and route projects your way."

Isabela Peralta

Vice President

Hometown: Costa Rica
Joined Insight: 2016

Having joined Insight Partners as a DGS Analyst, Bela has progressed in her career to now being a Vice President. She was originally drawn to the DGS role because, from day one, you get to strategically evaluate businesses and work closely with senior stakeholders across the portfolio — essentially acting as a detective, uncovering key details and figuring out what’s really going on behind the scenes.

Now, as a VP managing three team members, she understands the importance of strong and supportive leadership—shaped by the impactful mentorship and guidance she received earlier in her career at Insight. "Since I was an analyst, I was encouraged to stay curious and form well-supported opinions—whether on deals, portfolio work, or anything in between. My manager made it clear that failure was part of the process—not because it was expected, but because he wanted me to challenge myself. He was always there to help me learn from setbacks, understand how to respond, and come back stronger.”

  • Am I eligible to apply?

    If you are currently a pursuing an undergraduate degree or completing a 5th-year Master's program concurrent with your undergraduate program and will be graduating between December 2026-June 2027, then yes. Apply no later than July 1, 2026, but we encourage you to apply early because applications are reviewed based on the order they are completed.

  • Can I also apply to the Investment Analyst Program?

    No, you must choose between one of the two full time programs to apply to.

  • I'm a freshman or sophomore, but interested in the program in the future. How can I stay connected?

    Sign-up for our Campus Recruiting Monthly Newsletter and add your info to our Campus Recruiting Talent Pool.

  • What is required to apply?

    To apply, you'll submit your resume and transcript. After that, you will be prompted to complete a HireVue video cover letter.

  • I have an updated resume or transcript. What should I do?

    We open applications for the program in the fall of student's junior year. We will begin hosting interviews in July and through August, so you can expect to hear back around this timeframe.
